The Costa Mesa Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Friday evening, October 27, 2006 at Harbor Blvd north of W. Wilson Street. Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and is part of a National enforcement campaign. In an effort to make neighborhoods safer for children and all pedestrians and bicyclists, the Costa Mesa Police Department is launching local participation in the national Keep Kids Alive DRIVE 25® public safety campaign, designed to encourage observance of the 25 mph speed limit found in most neighborhoods. Costa Mesa City Council candidates have discussed many topics, but mayor’s proposal on illegal immigrants may be defining point in election.

Sage Michael has made lots of waves at Orange Coast College in the brief time he’s been a student there. 
He’s used to that, however. He’s been making waves all his life. But these latest campus waves have proven to be beneficial breakers.
