A thank-you note

The Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall’s debut performance Sunday turned out to be love at first sound for audience and performers alike. Costa Mesa - Labor Day Block Party Applications

costa-mesa-ca.gif
Costa Mesa, California – Twice a year, during the Fourth of July and Labor Day, Costa Mesa residents may request the closing of streets for up to six hours for block parties. To ensure that these events are successful with a minimum of inconvenience to others, the City requires that residents obtain and complete an application package, along with proof of liability insurance coverage for the event.

The City is currently accepting applications for Labor Day requests (Monday, September 4, 2006). A complete application is required for each block party request. Application packets include instructions and information regarding the rules and regulations governing block parties.

Application Process – Applications are available only by request or through the City’s website. Requests may be made by phone, mail, or in person. For phone requests, please contact the City Manager’s Office, at (714) 754-5327. In-person requests may be made and completed applications dropped off at the City Manager’s Office (5th Floor) City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. To download an application package by Internet, visit the City’s website at www.ci.costa-mesa.ca.us and select “News & Info – Forms, Documents,” to locate “Labor Day Block Party Street Closure Applications.” Mail completed requests to: Costa Mesa City Hall, Post Office Box 1200, Costa Mesa, California, 92628-1200.

Application Deadline – Completed Labor Day application materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2006.
